Paris Hilton gets probation for drunk driving

The queen of the gossip blogs, Paris Hilton, won't do time for alcohol-related reckless driving, but she will have to be on her best behavior. The 25 year-old star of The Simple Life and one of the most written-about personalities in Hollywood was caught driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol level over the legal limit of .08 last September. Today she learned her fate.


Paris Hilton wasn't in court - she entered her plea of no contest through her attorneys - but she did get sentenced to three years probation today, according to Reuters. Hilton was also fined $390 and ordered to attend an alcohol-education program by Judge Michael Sauer. The fines, including penalty assessments, total about $1,500.
