Desperate Housewives hunk JESSE METCALFE has ended his trans-Atlantic relationship with NADINE COYLE, after convincing the GIRLS ALOUD beauty to move to Los Angeles permanently.

The couple split up briefly in November (06) because their respective careers in the US and UK kept them apart, but their love was too strong and now they are house-hunting in LA while Coyle enjoys a break from the girl band.

A source tells British newspaper The Daily Mirror, "Nadine sees LA as her permanent base now and she's actively looking for a home to buy with Jesse.

"He flew to Ireland to be with her for Christmas and she is staying with him until March when Girls Aloud start work again.

"She is only going to fly into the UK for promotional work. It's going to be tough for her and the group, but it breaks her heart to be away from him."
