Simpson And Lachey Heading For UK Chart Battle

Jessica Simpson and her ex-husband Nick Lachey will battle it out in the UK singles chart next week, when they simultaneously release songs about their failed relationship.

Simpson releases her track A Public Affair to counter Lachey's What's Left Of Me, and even plays on the upcoming battle in her press release.

Her publicity statement reads, "The fabulous Jessica Simpson Nicks the spotlight on January 29..."

Simpson and Lachey split in November 2005 after three years of marriage, and were divorced in June 2006.
