Reggie Bush Is Movin' on Up

I'm with Saints FanHouse blogger Tom Mantzouranis on the "Who gives a crap if Reggie Bush took money while in college?" Honestly, I don't care. Bush grew up poor, a would-be agent offered his family a boatload of money, and he took it. It's easy for people with no real financial concerns to feign incredulity, but it's kinda disingenuous.

Whatever, Bush signed a six-year, $26 million deal last year (and it could be worth twice that if he reaches certain incentives) and now the former USC star is buying homes with his own money. The bayoubuzz.com has word on Bush's most recent purchase:
...Bush has purchased a Hollywood Hills home for nearly the asking price of $5 million, the Los Angles Times reported in its Friday editions.

The tri-level house, high above the Sunset Strip, has views of Long Beach, Malibu and Catalina Island. There are four bedrooms and six bathrooms in its 4,800 square feet, serviced by an elevator.

Bush already owned a $1.9 million condo near the river in New Orleans.
To which I say: Good for Reggie. I'm not sure why he needs an elevator, but when you spend that kind of dough on a place, it should probably come with one, just on principle. One word of advice, though: If Paris Hilton/Britney Spears and Matt Leinart show up at your door, don't answer it. Consider this a public service annoucement.
