Jessica Simpson was caught up in the middle of a brawl while she was shopping on the weekend, when a security guard charged at over-zealous paparazzi.

The pop star/actress was walking around a Los Angeles shopping centre when a mall security officer took offence at photographers who ignored his demands to back off Simpson and let her shop in peace.

The Dukes Of Hazzard star was not injured in the fracas and was left to continue her shopping spree in peace.
