The nominees for the annual Golden Raspberry Awards, created to recognise the worst films of the year, have been announced — and Sharon Stone isn’t going to be happy.
The actress, who shot to fame in the 1992 thriller 'Basic Instinct', found herself singled out for her performance in the critically mauled and commercially disastrous sequel.
The film, directed by Michael Caton-Jones and featuring Stone's character relocating to London where she becomes entangled with a psychiatrist played by David Morrissey, was nominated for seven awards on Monday.
Worst picture, supporting actor, director, sequel and screenplay nods went to 'Basic Instinct 2'. Stone was nominated for worst actress, while her "lopsided breasts" were nominated for worst screen couple.
Stone, who won the 1994 award for worst actress after appearing in 'Intersection' and 'The Specialist', is no stranger to the Razzies.
"She's what we call a Razzie repeat offender," said award founder John Wilson. "Perhaps even a recidivist."
It wasn’t all bad news for Stone though. 'Little Man', the slapstick comedy from the Wayans brothers about a thief who poses as a baby, also received seven nominations.
